
A family story: Di Peri
In the heart of Palermo, the history of the Di Peri family takes shape starting from the 1970s. A story built on work, commitment, and courageous choices. Today, what was once a small neighborhood butcher shop has become a recognized name in the world of catering, but always with the same spirit as back then.
The origins: Palermo, the 1970sIt all began in the 1970s, when dad Mario Di Peri opened a butcher shop in Palermo. An authentic place, where every cut of meat told a tradition passed down from generation to generation. Giuseppe, his son, inherited this legacy, growing the shop and earning the trust of many customers. By his side, from a young age, was also Mario, his son, with enthusiasm and ideas that went beyond the counter.
A new dream
In 2018, the Di Peri family took a bold step: they opened the first Risto Macelleria in Villabate, on the outskirts of Palermo. It was a project envisioned by Mario, who dreamed of transforming the family craft into an unforgettable culinary experience. Thus, alongside the butcher shop in Villabate, they established an innovative steakhouse: a place where expertly aged meat was served in an elegant yet authentic setting, with cuts on display and dishes that paid homage to Sicilian tradition.
2020: The Birth of Di Peri Carni & FoodIn 2020, the decision was made to expand the premises by separating the butcher shop from the steakhouse, and thus Di Peri Carni & Food Steakhouse Villabate was born.
2022: Pain and RebirthIn 2022, the family faces a very difficult moment: Mario, the founder of Di Peri Carne & Food, suddenly passes away at only 20 years old. It is a pain that deeply affects everyone, but it does not extinguish his vision. Giuseppe, together with the other children, Sara and Pietro, decides to move forward. Not only to honor Mario's memory, but because they still believe in the project they started together.



In November 2023, the Di Peri family opened a new steakhouse in Piazza Don Bosco, in the heart of Palermo. The establishment quickly became a landmark for meat lovers, thanks to a carefully curated offering consistent with the family's values: quality, hospitality, and respect for tradition, becoming a true and original Palermo reality.
2024: Bagheria and the futureIn December 2024, a new chapter opens with the launch of a steakhouse in Bagheria, located in an exclusive venue with private rooms equipped with hoods and grills, allowing you to grill your steak independently. An ambitious project, a unique format where elegance blends with the authenticity of charcoal-grilled meat. Additionally, to meet customer needs, we have introduced a Pizzeria and Gluten-Free section.
Today: A commitment that continues every dayMario wanted what we did to reach people, not just the table. Today that desire is not a memory, but a living reality. It lives in the daily work, in the dedication to quality, in the bonds built with customers, one by one. Every steakhouse of the Di Peri Carne & Food family is a piece of that vision. A silent but concrete way to ensure that Mario is still part of all this, every day, and that he is also part of You.
